"Delta holding" plaća porez Srbiji - Kompanija planira ulaganje u voćarstvo, povrtarstvo i stočarstv

Sve to podrazumeva i otvaranje novih radnih mesta.

Razvojna Banka Vojvodine becomes new owner of car parts manufacturer Motins
Machines in the car parts factory Motins have not been in use for 45 days because the factory is disconnected from the power supply network. Workers are not coming to work any more, and the city organization Independent Trade Union of Metal Workers of Novi Sad has announced a fight for the survival of this once successful exporter.

Novak Vasic, president of the trade union, explains that the factory got new management bodies 15 days ago, after the former owner went bankrupt.

- Razvojna Banka Vojvodine is now the official owner of Motins since it is the factory's biggest creditor - Vasic explains.

- They formed management bodies - Assembly and Managing Board, but nothing has happened ever since. All 330 workers are still out of work.

That is the reason why the trade union warned provincial bodies a week ago that they would fight with all possible means if nothing changed in 15 days, says Vasic.

- We have not received any reply yet, but we hope to see certain results in one week - says Vasic.
Let us remind that the problems in Motins, of which 80 percent of products used to be exported, primarily to the European Union, as well as to Africa and the Near East, started nearly a year ago.

Delta Holding pays tax to Serbia - Company plans to invest in fruit growing, truck farming and cattl
Tax on the sale of Delta Maxi will be charged in Serbia pursuant to the positive legal regulations of the Republic of Serbia. As Delta Holding Vice President for Corporate Communications Jelena Krstovic confirmed for Novosti daily, the transaction will be done through Serbian banks.

- In order for Delta Holding to be able to pay the tax in Serbia, we had to take certain steps - Jelena Krstovic claims.

- The company has hired tax advisers from a renowned consulting company and given them the task to find adequate solutions for paying the tax in our country. I can say that that caused two court procedures that are underway on Cyprus and we expect them to be successfully ended in next few days.

By selling Maxi market chain to Belgium's Delhaize, Delta Holding gets a financial support, which will primarily be directed to the agrarian sector, a new strategic business of this company.

People at Delta Holding announced before the sale of Delta Maxi that agriculture would be one of the company's important businesses in the future. Jelena Krstovic says that Delta will be particularly engaged in fruit growing, truck farming and cattle breeding.

- The need for food around the world is growing bigger every year and I believe that Serbia's chance lies in the food production - says Krstovic.

- The money from the sale will be invested in the primary production of fruits and vegetables. We will expand our orchard in Celarevo by 200 hectares this year and by another 200 ha within next two years. Our truck farming center will be situated in Bogatic where Delta and its partners plan to build a large greenhouse. All that will, of course, lead to the creation of new jobs.

As people at Delta Holding announce, the money will also be invested in new technologies in the agrarian sector. New standards are planned to be introduced in association with foreign partners.

Part of the money from the sale of the largest market chain in Serbia will be spent on the construction of shopping malls in Despota Stefana Boulevard and at Autokomanda. New shopping malls should also be built in Banja Luka and Novi Sad.
- We believe this is the right time to start this business because the signs of recovery from the crisis are already noticeable. The shopping mall in Despota Stefana Boulevard in Belgrade is planned to be opened in 2013 and I believe that the economic situation in our country will improve by then.
