This firm will not disburse a certificate of ownership over my shares, what can I do to sell my own shares?
Answer:
In today's practice, there are many cases where the Firm-Creator will not issue a certificate of ownership over shares to their shareholders for several reasons:
No technical capability to issue certificates,
The firm is not in compliance with the Central Register, and will not print the certificate,
Management tries to stop shares trading.
As long as the firm is in compliance with the Central Register (what certificates are important to posess, this can be investigated on the website of the Stock Exchange or Central Register), you can go to your broker of choice and open an ownership account on which your shares will be transferred to. If this was your intention, then you will also be given a sell order, or you may ask your broker to give you an abstract of your ownership account, which you can use as proof of ownership in another scenario.
