Greeks to build two more sections of Corridor X - Terna, Koridori Srbije ink agreement worth EUR 100
The company Koridori Srbije signed today with the Greek company Terna a EUR 100 million agreement for the construction of two sections of Corridor X - from Grabovnica near Leskovac to Grdelica and from Vladicin Han to Donji Neradovac - 31.5 kilometers long.

- Works should commence in mid-April - Koridori Srbije CEO Mihajlo Misic announced, adding that they would be financed from a loan granted by the World Bank and that the period for their completion was set at two years.

- On these sections, highly complex facilities will be built on a difficult terrain - Misic told Tanjug news agency.

Misic signed the agreement with Terna Technical Director Tagkas Teodoros and said on that occasion that he expected the works to kick off as soon as possible. This agreement was signed after last year`s public invitation to bid and the consideration of 20 bids submitted by interested bidders, and its signing was also preceded by the bank`s approval.

Terna already works on the eastern branch of Corridor X, on the construction of tunnels Progon and Przojno Padina, which will be a part of the bypass around Dimitrovgrad.

The agreed value of this job is RSD 3.83 billion. The contractor commenced the work in October 2011 and was given 720 days to finish it. At the moment, preparation works are underway.

An agreement on the construction of a 22.5km highway section from Prosek near Nis to Crvena Reka, including the construction of the route, bridges and Brncarevo tunnel, was signed with Terna and Greek companies Actor and Subtera in January this year.
