Američki investicioni fond KKR kupio medijsku kuću Axel Springer
Američki investicioni fond KKR postao je najveći akcionar najveće nemačke medijske kuće Axel Springer, plativši 3,2 mlrd USD dolara za 43,54% akcija.

KKR je kupio 42,5% akcija od manjinskih akcionara i još 1,04% na berzi, čime je pretekao udovicu osnivača kompanije Fridu Springer koja je zadržala 42,6% akcija i izvršnog direktora kompanije Matiasa Doepfnera koji ima 2,8% akcija.

Kupovina je obavljena po ceni od 63 EUR po akciji, nakon što je ova nemačka medijska kuća procenjena na 6,8 mlrd EUR.

Axel Springer bio je jedan od poslednjih velikih medijskih biznisa u vlasništvu porodice.

Takođe, Axel Springer jedan je od vlasnika najveće medijske kuće u Srbiji, Ringier Axel Springera, koji izdaje dnevni list Blic.

KKR, koji je donedavno bio vlasnik N1 televizije u Srbiji, morao je da traži saglasnost Komisije za zaštitu konkurencije Srbije, koja mu je prošle nedelje odobrila da se upiše kao novi vlasnik.

U detaljnom izveštaju Komisije utvrđeno je da Ringier Axel Springer nije monopolista na srpskom tržištu, a prikazani su i detaljni podaci medijske slike u zemlji.

Komisija je utvrdila da Ringier Axel Springer kontroliše između 70 i 80% tržišta štampanja dnevnih novina, Borba i Politika su po 10-20%.

Što se tiče prodaje dnevnih novina, Blic ima 10-20% udela, Informer 20-30%, Novosti 10-20%, kao i Kurir, Srpski telegraf i Alo.

Na tržištu magazina Ringier Axel Springer dominira u segmentu ženskih časopisa (Blic žena, Blic puls) gde ima tržišni udeo od 40-50%.

U segmentu časopisa sa ekonomskom i političkom sadržinom u vlasništvu drži nedeljnik NIN koji ima 20-30% tržišta.

Konkurenti ovog društva, kako je utvrdila Komisija za zaštitu konkurencije, u delu ženskih magazina su Color Press Group, sa izdanjima Scandal, Svet, Star, Hello, Gloria, Story, koji kontrolišu 50-60% tržišta, i Adria Media Group 5-10%.

U segmentu časopisa sa ekonomskom i političkom sadržinom konkurenti ovog društva su: NIP Nedeljnik, izdavač Nedeljnika, tržišni udeo 30-40%, i Pečat i Vreme sa 10-20.

U marketinškom delu ova kompanija kontroliše 20-30% tržišta, kao i Adria Media Group i Color Media.


American investment fund KKR buys Axel Springer media house
The American investment fund KKR has become the biggest shareholder in the largest German media house Axel Springer, having paid USD 3.2 billion for a 43.54% stake.

KKR bought a 42.5% stake from minority shareholders and another 1.04% at the stock exchange market, thereby acquiring a larger stake than held by the companys foundes widow, Friede Springer, who has kept 42.6% of the shares, and CEO Mathias Doepfner, who has a 2.8% stake.

The purchase was made at the price of EUR 63 per share, after the German media house was evaluated at EUR 6.8 billion.

KKR, which until recently owned TV N1 in Serbia, had to seek approval from the Commission for Protection of Competition of Serbia, which was given last week.

In a detailed report issued by the Commission, it is determined that Ringier Axel Springer is not a monopolist in the Serbian market, and the report also shows detailed data about the media structure in the country.

The Commission determines that Ringier Axel Springer controls 70-80% of the daily newspaper printing market, whereas Borba and Politika hold 10-20% each.

As for the sales of dailies, Blic has a 10-20% share, Informer has 20-30%, Novosti is at 10-20%, as are Kurir, Srpski Telegraf and Alo.

In the magazine market, Ringier Axel Springer is dominant in the segment of magazines for women (Blic Zena, Blic Puls), with a market share of 40-50%.

In the segment of economic and political magazines, it owns the NIN weekly, which holds 20-30% of the market.

The companys competition in the segment of womens magazines, as determined by the Commission for Protection of Competition, are Color Press Group, with Scandal, Svet, Star, Hello, Gloria and Story publications, holding 50-60% of the market, and Adria Media Group, with 5-10%.

In the segment of economic and political magazines, the companys competition consists of: NIP Nedeljnik, the publisher of Nedeljnik, with a market share of 30-40%, and Pecat and Vreme with 10-20%.

In the marketing segment, the company controls 20-30% of the market, as do Adria Media Group and Color Media.


Japanska banka za međunarodnu saradnju razmatra otvaranje investicionog fonda u Srbiji
Premijerka Srbije Ana Brnabić sastala se u Davosu, gde učestvuje na Svetskom ekonomskom forumu, s predsednikom Japanske banke za međunarodnu saradnju Tadašijem Maedom, s kojim je razgovarala o otvaranju investicionog fonda te banke u Srbiji.

- Dobar i konkretan sastanak s Maedom, nastavljamo razgovore o prisustvu Japanske banke za međunarodnu saradnju u Srbiji i on je potvrdio da će posetiti Srbiju do kraja godine - rekla je juče Brnabićeva novinarima u Davosu.

Do njegove posete Srbiji, dodala je, srpski i japanski timovi razgovaraće o tome kako Japanska banka za međunarodnu saradnju može da otvori investicioni fond u Srbiji, a posebno u oblasti inovacija i start up kompanija, kao i o tome kako taj fond može da sarađuje s domaćim Fondom za nauku.

- Dakle, to su bili konkretni razgovori, oko konkretnih inicijativa, koje će se, nadam se, potvrditi prilikom njegove posete Srbiji - rekla je premijerka.

Podsetila je i da su 27. novembra 2019. ministarstva finansija dve zemlje potpisala Sporazum o izbegavanju dvostrukog oporezivanja između Srbije i Japana, što, kako je ocenila, "otvara još šira vrata" za bolju ekonomsku saradnju i više japanskih investicija u Srbiji.

- To je i do sada bilo jako uspešno, jer mi u Srbiji imamo japanske kompanije - Yazaki, Japan Tobacco International... Maeda je potvrdio da je nakon našeg sastanka u Tokiju komunicirao sa svim ovim kompanijama da i Japanska banka pruži podršku ovim investicijama u Srbiji - rekla je Brnabićeva.


Japanese Bank for International Cooperation considering opening investment fund in Serbia
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic talked with the president of the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation, Tadashi Maeda, about opening an investment fund of that bank in Serbia. They met at Davos, where they are taking part in the World Economic Forum.

– Ive had a good meeting with Maeda, where we talked about the presence of the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation in Serbia and he confirmed that he would visit Serbia by the end of the year – Brnabic told the press yesterday in Davos.

Until then, she added, Serbian and Japanese teams will discuss how the JBIC can open an investment fund in Serbia, especially in the field of innovations and startups, and how the fund can cooperation with Serbias Science Fund.

– The talks were concrete, concerning concrete initiatives, which, I hope, will be confirmed during his visit to Serbia – the prime minister said.

She also reminded that, on November 27, 2019, the ministries of finance of the two countries had signed the Agreement on Avoidance of Double Taxation between Serbia and Japan, which, according to her, increases the potential for economic cooperation and for attracting more Japanese investments to Serbia.

– This has been very successful so far, as we have Japanese companies in Serbia – Yazaki, Japan Tobacco... Maeda has confirmed that he contacted all these companies after our meeting in Tokyo so that the JBIC would support these investments in Serbia – Brnabic said.
