BELGRADE - The Serbian dinars official median exchange rate against the euro is 117.5870 dinars for one euro on Tuesday, the same as on Monday, the National Bank of Serbia said.

The dinar is steady against the euro m-o-m, y-o-y and relative to the beginning of the year.

The dinars indicative exchange rate against the dollar slid by 0.3 pct to 103.7380 dinars for one dollar on Monday.

The dinar was up by 0.1 pct against the dollar m-o-m, down by 6.5 pct y-o-y, and up by 0.2 pct relative to the beginning of the year.


Year-on-year inflation in Serbia in January 8.2%, monthly 0.8%
In Serbia, in January this year, year-on-year inflation was 8.2%, and monthly inflation was 0.8%, according to the announcement by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

Prices of goods and services for personal consumption, which are used to measure inflation, have increased by 4% on average in 2021, compared to 2020.

In January this year, an increase in prices was recorded in the following groups: Recreation and culture (1.6%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.4%); Equipment for housing and current maintenance (1.1%); Transport (1%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Health, Restaurants and hotels (by 0.4% each); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco and Communications (by 0.1% each).

The drop in prices has been recorded in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (0.5%) and Education (0.1%)

U Srbiji je u januaru ove godine međugodišnja inflacija bila 8,2%, a mesečna 0,8%, objavio je Republički zavod za statistiku.

Cene proizvoda i usluga lične potrošnje, kojima se meri inflacija, u 2021. godini su u poređenju sa 2020. godinom, u proseku povećane za 4%.

U januaru ove godine rast cena je zabeležen u grupama Rekreacija i kultura (1,6%), Hrana i bezalkoholna pića (1,4%), Oprema za stan i tekuće održavanje (1,1%), Transport (1%), Stanovanje, voda, električna energija, gas i ostala goriva, Zdravlje i Restorani i hoteli (za po 0,4%), Alkoholna pića i duvan i Кomunikacije (za po 0,1%).

Pad cena zabeležen je u grupama Odeća i obuća (0,5%) i Obrazovanje (0,1%)


MK Group invests EUR 6.5 million in the renovation of the Kempinski Palace Hotel in Portoroz
MK Group, one of the regional leaders in tourism, will invest EUR 6.5m in the renovation of its hotel Kempinski Palace Portoroz.

This year, EUR 3.5 million will be invested in the renovation of 78 rooms within the modern part of the hotel, and the works are expected to be be completed in late spring. The rooms will be completely redesigned in a minimalist, modern style, with a special emphasis on equipment and IT infrastructure. The conference center will be adapted to respond to the needs of modern multimedia meetings. The gym and wellness area will also be redesigned and expanded.

In the upcoming two years, MK Group will invest an additional EUR 3 million for the renovation of the remainder of the hotel, according to the Groups website.

- The renovation of the hotel aims to further improve the quality of service and facilities in order to ensure maximum satisfaction of our guests - says Kai Behrens, General Manager of Kempinski Palace Portoroz.

According to the announcement, the hotel was declared the best in Slovenia last year, and has recently received the award for "The Best Seaside Hotel for Conference and Meetings".

- Even with numerous awards, we continue to invest because we want to be the best, not just in Slovenia, but also in the wider region, and the renovation will allows us to achieve that. We are delighted that MK Group sees the same potential for further growth and expansion - said Behrens.

MK Grupa ulaže 6,5 mil EUR u renoviranje hotela Kempinski Palace u Portorožu
MK Grupa, jedan od regionalnih lidera u turizmu, uložiće 6,5 mil EUR u renoviranje svog hotela Kempinski Palace Portorož.

Ove godine će 3,5 mil EUR biti uloženo u renoviranje 78 soba modernog dela hotela, za šta se očekuje da će biti završeno do kasnog proleća. Sobe će biti u potpunosti redizajnirane u minimalističkom, modernom stilu, a poseban akcenat će biti na opremi i IT infrastrukturi. Konferencijski centar će biti adaptiran kako bi odgovorio na potrebe savremenih multimedijalnih sastanaka. Wellness zona i fitnes sala će takođe biti redizajnirane i proširene.

U naredne dve godine MK Grupa će uložiti dodatnih 3 mil EUR u renoviranje ostatka hotela, navodi se na sajtu Grupacije.

NIS earned RSD 21 billion in 2021 - RSD 25 billion of investments planned in 2022
The Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) announced today that it made a profit of RSD 21 billion in 2021, after a recorded loss of RSD 7.6 billion in 2020, due to the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, the EBITDA indicator (profit before interest, income tax and depreciation are deducted) amounted to RSD 53.2 billion, which was 3.4 times better than the year before, the announcement states.

Liabilities of the NIS Group based on taxes and other public revenues last year amounted to RSD 217.8 billion, 21% more than in 2020.

As it is emphasized, NIS invested RSD 20.2 billion in development projects during 2021.

The announcement also specifies that the NIS group produced a total of 1.194 million conditional tons of oil and gas in 2021, and a total of more than 40 development and exploration wells in Serbia and Romania were put into operation.

The Pancevo Oil Refinery processed 3.945 million tons of oil and semi-finished products, which is nine percent more than in 2020, but also the largest volume of processing since 2009.

Record results, as pointed out, were also achieved in the field of transport, because a total of 4,031 million tons of petroleum products were sold, which is 14% more than a year earlier.

It is also stated that NIS continued the modernization of its retail network and in 2021 opened 10 new and reconstructed facilities throughout Serbia, including the first gas station on the newly constructed "Milos Veliki" highway.

In the energy field, the construction of the Pancevo Thermal Power Plant has continued, with commissioning to be expected in 2022.

The document reiterates that, in late 2021, representatives of NIS, the Serbian Ministry of Economy and HIP Petrohemija signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement in accordance with which NIS will increase its ownership stake in HIP Petrohemija to 90% of share capital with a recapitalization obligation of EUR 150 million and the construction of a polypropylene production plant with a capacity of at least 140,000 tons annually within six years.

NIS General Manager Kirill Tyurdenev stated that the company plans further investments in 2022, in the amount of RSD 25 billion.


Peta prodaja firme Lexin iz Čačka za eksploataciju i preradu kamena
Stečajni upravnik čačanskog preduzeća Lexin doo oglasio je po peti put prodaju ove firme kao pravnog lica, čija je delatnost eksploataciju i preradu kamena.

Imovinu preduzeća čine oprema za eksploataciju i preradu andezit-bazalta kao tehničko-građevinskog kamena u ležištu Prevoje-S. Bečevica kod Knića i zalihe prerađenog kamena i pravo na eksploataciju andezit-bazalta u ležištu Prevoje-S. Bečevica.

Po drugi put firma se prodaje putem javnog prikupljanja ponuda, za razliku od prethodne tri neuspešne prodaje kada je nuđena na licitaciji.

Procenjena vrednost firme 213,6 miliona dinara, što, kako se istuče, nije minimalno prihvatljiva vrednost.
