Baumit Planning Expansion of Factory in Arandjelovac and Moving of Facility from Slovenia
The company Baumit Serbia is planning to expand its production capacities of the factory in Arandjelovac and to move its mixing factory from Slovenia to Serbia.

This is emphasized in the “Urban Project for the Construction of the Factory for the Production of Dried Products”, whose public presentation was advertised by the Municipality of Arandjelovac. The urban project was prepared by Arplan from Arandjelovac, and the preliminary design was prepared by Termoenergo Inzenjering from Belgrade.

The Baumit complex is located in the industrial zone “Kubrsnica” in the suburban part of Arandjelovac.

– Since the production capacity of the existing facility is already near being full and requires modernization, the plan is for the mixing factory in Slovenia to be moved to Serbia within the existing complex Baumit Serbia in Arandjelovac.

For the purposes of the extension of the business complex of Baumit, an amendment to the General Regulation Plan for Arandjelovac has been done, expanding the scope of building land compared to agricultural land, to the end of the expansion of the complex through the construction of new production capacities – the Urban Project points out.

The existing facility which is being moved was built in 1999 and, until August 2019, it belonged to the company Cinkarna from Celje.

The total gross developed building area of all the facilities within the complex is 4,461.80 m2.

The newly designed facilities for mixing in and facilities for packing are planned next to the existing production facility, on the part of the parcel where a part of the production facility is being demolished. The newly designed palletization hall facility is located in the central part of the complex and connected by a transport bridge with the packing facility. The containers for the dispatcher are planned next to the entrance to the complex and the newly designed weighbridge.

The seat of Baumit is in Wopfing, Austria, and the company operates in 28 countries of the world. In Serbia, Baumit has been operating since 2002, with the seat in Belgrade. In early 2006, the production at their own factory in Arandjelovac started, where a part of their production program is carried out.

The public presentation of the urban project will last until September 22.

BELGRADE - National Bank of Serbia (NBS) gross FX reserves amounted to 15,875.6 mln euros at end-August, up by 852.7 mln from a month earlier, the central bank has said in a statement.

"They covered 144 pct of money supply (M1) and almost five months’ worth of the country’s import of goods and services, which is almost twice the level prescribed by the adequacy standard.

Net FX reserves (FX reserves less banks’ FX balances on account of required reserves and other grounds) came at 13,131.0 mln euros at end-August, having increased by 796.7 mln euros from the month before," it said.

"The increase in FX reserves reflects primarily NBS activities in the local FX market (net inflow from FX purchases and swap transactions totalled 430.0 mln euros) and inflows from the sale of FX government securities worth 336.6 mln euros. A contribution also came from net inflows in respect of banks’ FX required reserves (39.2 mln euros), grants (36.9 mln euros) and net inflows in respect of FX reserves management and other sources (22.9 mln euros net).

The effect of market factors was negative in August, equalling 12.9 mln euros net.

Trading volumes in the IFEM amounted to 896.3 mln euros in August, down by 167.9 mln euros from the month before. In the eight months of the year, trading volumes in the IFEM totalled 6,247.9 mln euros.

The dinar stayed broadly unchanged against the euro in August, while gaining 0.2 pct nominally since the beginning of the year.

The NBS bought 450 mln euros in the IFEM in August. Since the start of the year, it has sold 905 mln euros net, in order to maintain relative stability of the dinar exchange rate against the euro," the central bank also said.
